A Message To Laborers

John 3:20-22 –

The LORD brings men to the point of hating wickedness.

Until they reach that place, they have no interest in that which is Truth or Light.

We are called to gather that which has been made ready for Light.

Let the LORD lead your going, so that we gather what He has already prepared.

Bible Musings

Numbers 21:5 –

and the people speak against God, and against Moses, ‘Why hast thou brought us up out of Egypt to die in a wilderness? for there is no bread, and there is no water, and our soul hath been weary of this light bread.’

The children of Israel speaking against and growing weary of the Manna while in the wilderness was a prophetic sign of their attitude toward Jesus being given to them.

Numbers 32:11-12 –

Surely none of the men who came up from Egypt, from twenty years old and above, shall see the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, because they have not wholly followed Me, except Caleb…and Joshua…for they have wholly followed the LORD.

Only two from the old generation entered into the Promised Land – representing the Father and the Son.

The next generation were to be a move of God by the Holy Ghost. They were to be taught and trained in the new way of living and being. They had no experience of providing for themselves.

They would learn how to co-labor together with Him.

Acts 26:12-22 –

While thus occupied, as I journeyed to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, 13 at midday, O king, along the road I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who journeyed with me. 14 And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ 15 So I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. 16 But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. 17 I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, 18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’ 19 “Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, 20 but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance. 21 For these reasons the Jews seized me in the temple and tried to kill me. 22 Therefore, having obtained help from God, to this day I stand, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses said would come–

An Apostle is one who has encountered the Living Jesus in such a way that no matter what opposition or persecution faced, the reality of Christ is never lost.

Know that you know that Jesus is alive and well!

All That’s Needed

1 Chronicle 29 –

GOD is doing a great thing for us

that His House may be built and established.

He is providing us with all we need

to do all the good that is in our hearts toward Him.

Bless the LORD and rejoice

in His excellent greatness and goodness.

What if you’re already great and you just don’t know it?

What if all of your failed plans are actually what made you a success?

What if the eyes that you use to view yourself are actually the ones that are skewed?

What if you are exactly who you need to be?

What if you have it all wrong?

What if you’re already on the right path but didn’t know it?

What if it isn’t supposed to look like you wanted?

How could you know what your life is supposed to look like if you haven’t lived it yet?

What if today is all of the future you needed?

And what if who you are already is who you want to be, and you just didn’t know it?

Stay True – Regardless!

John 3:26-28 –

I am not the Christ. I’m only called to point Him out to others.

If they refuse to go to Him, and you continue on with them, you will eventually lose the revelation of Him yourself – as circumstances that seem unfavorable, their disbelief or unfounded loyalty to you, drag you down.

Stay true to the message, even when tried through a large following or a turning away.

The message is true regardless of the people’s response (for a slave will not be disciplined with words).

A Glimpse

Exodus 34 –

“The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin.”

Another look at the image that God created man to walk in. How far short Moses had come to this image when he became angry at the Israelites and broke the first Tables of Commandments the LORD had given for him and the people.

The LORD constantly gives us a glimpse at where He has destined us to be as He reveals His own nature to us.

As we look upon His loveliness, our own nature begins to become more and more conformed to his image and likeness; so much so that people recognize that we have been in the presence of GOD and begin to fear because of the ugliness of sin in their own unconverted hearts.
